I've squared this with T4TF prior to posting.

My nephew and godson was a mascot at the cup final and walked out in all his regalia with one of his heroes, John Terry. Some of you may have seen the piece in the Star the previous Friday about the Irish lad leading the team out. We'd love to make him a DVD of his special day and have plenty of sources for both halves of the match and the aftermath and presentation but are coming up short trying to find the important bit, the pre-match ceremony with the mascots and the exchange of penants etc.

I'm hoping that someone has set their DVD recorder to capture the whole event and might be kind enough to give me a lend of it for a day. I will collect and return it if feasible, or else cover the cost of posting and a pint for your trouble.

Otherwise, if anyone can offer any suggestions as to where else I might find this, please let me know either by reply or PM. Please be mindful of Boards.ie's stance on the discussion on forum of warez and downloading of illegal or copyright material.

    Hopefully somebody can help out!
Thanks again to Thanx 4 the fish for the green light.

who organises the mascots? surely the FA should be able to get some footage from the broadcasters for ye.

The teams organise their own mascots. His dad put his name down when he was a few months old and he reached the top of the list for this one (9 years old now). Well, he was offered the FA Cup Final at Wembley, or their 1st home game of next season at Stamford Bridge. Sounds like a no brainer to me but apparently a lot of dads want their kids paraded in front of their friends/neighbours/peers at the Bridge.

Haven't tried official routes yet. There's undoubtedly a DVD to be released in the Chelsea shop in the not too distant future but in the meantime I'd love to do this for him.
