For the sake of the election expenses... I'd say Ryan, MLM and Higgins are delighted with them.

Eoin ryan has 55k more than the other 3, hes currently 2.2 on betfair (meaning they think he only has a 40% chance of getting in). Is this a good bet do you think? Posting here as its more politics than gambling (want thoughts on if you think he'll win or not)

Bad bet Old Gill, I would say Ryan will get a boast from Eibhlin Byrnes vote when it gets redistributed but looking at the last few candidates that will be eliminated I can see most of their 2nd preferences going to Higgins or McDonald. I would hope that Higgins will get in based on this.

RTE suggesting that Ryan can't get in and it's a question of which of the other two will get the seat.

Looks like Ryan can't take it. Only on 66,000 after Eibhlin Byrne elimination. De Burca next to go. Joe Higgins should get in.

Eoin Ryan is pretty much gone. He's not going to pick up significant transfers from anyone left. Bye bye fianna fail in Europe-Dublin.

I'd prefer Eoin Ryan to the other 2, tbh. Sends out the wrong message.

Did Joe Higgens spend a chunk of his younger years in the soviet union?

everytime I see his election posters I am reminded of a crazy guy I met on a train home to tipp when I was much younger who went on and on and on on how wonderful the soviet union was...

    just wondering.

Given that Trotskyists were generally exiled or killed in the Soviet Union I doubt he's too keen on it.
