Is there any sperm banks in Ireland? (serious)

If not, I am assuming the closest sperm bank you could find near Dublin would be across the ferry to England?

There is a sperm bank is the rotunda which is used if a patient is going to undergo chemotherapy which would ordinarily kill off the sperm cells.

I'm assuming this would only be open for chemotherapy patients and not for pubic storage use along the lines of a cryobank.

    Thanks for your help.

    What's imported from Denmark?

I'm not sure what you mean, I am not looking for a donor.

I am looking for sperm storage.

afaik Indy's right in that being the only place. I also know of them/somewhere that did cryo storage for people who had reasons to need such things stored, both for medical and other issues

During my former life as an oncology intern, we had to refer someone to place in Belfast because the Rotunda facility was closed for a long weekend. Can't remember the name of it.

In the same place Indy was talking about?

If anything comes to mind a PM would be appreciated icon14.gif

I'm half afraid of a place on such a low key as they might have a funding/bankruptcy problem and mess the whole thing up, or is that even possible?

    Why?!
If you're undergoing cancer treatment you would have been offered the option to freeze sperm, you don't need to organise it independently.

I'm not sure that's really relevant to the thread eth0_.

Let's leave at discussing the OP's question.

Maybe he just wants to do it just in case something happens.

Clane Hospital does it for eur360, and then 140 a year for storage. So I suppose it's worth it.

No I am not undergoing cancer treatment, that is why I am seeking it independently.
