    Hi all,
I ve been googling my head off all night looking for a solution to my problem but can t find anything.

They situation I don't fly or travel by rail but my girlfriend loves sun holidays. So I have began looking for cruises that would leave from Ireland or a port that an Irish ferry sails too.

Unfortunaltely I cannot seem to find anything. The Southampton port in England has cruises but no ferry from Ireland goes there.

    Thanks for any help

Couldn't you get the ferry from Ireland to the UK and drive to Southampton?

So bring my car and leave it somewhere in Southampton or rent a car at the first port and leave it in Southhampton and the same in reverse on the way back?
    Can you do that?

Bus from Dublin to Hollyhead (or wherever. My UK geography isn't great) via the ferry. Then a bus / train / rental car to wherever you need to go in the UK.

That would be an option I guess.

If you are just looking for a little fun in the sun, how about the ferry from Dub to Isle of Man?

There is a few major cruise lines that stop in Ireland , but none that start or end the cruise here.

How about getting the car ferry to france and heading south ?

Thinking about that too. Sur once we re in France we can go anywhere. I m just surprised there s no way of getting to a port that the Cruise's goes from by ferry. Ah, can't have everything. Thanks for you help lads.

The Isle of man sounds like fun too :D

Some of the Royal Caribbean Cruises go Southampton to Cobh and back again. It would be ridiculously expensive I'd imagine, but you could look at joining a ship in Cobh, then joining another one in Southampton, then reversing it for the way back.

Driving to Southampton would probably work out cheaper.

My dad is taking a Royal Caribbean Cruise this September and has no choice but to pick it up in Southampton. They only seem to call into Cobh on their way from Texas to the UK. The ships that leave the UK to elsewhere don't stop in Cobh (though I don't know why!). I think I'll email them later tonight to find out.

They have special 4 night cruises which are just Southampton to Cobh and back again.

I'd imagine the reason that most of the UK one don't stop in Cobh is because if they're heading for the Med it's totally out of their way, and would add the best part of 2 days onto the cruise for no real benefit.

Cruise lines won't let you do that.
