Trying to remember name of film...

Messing about on t'internet, found myself reading about John Belushi and Animal House, and remembered a film I saw years ago, that was kinda like Animal House (young adults, having parties, music, and so on), but isn't Animal House.

There was a band in it, and I think they may have been a real band, that were actual characters in the film (IIRC). Played sort of early 80's punk music. I initally thought thought maybe they were the Ramones, but I don't think they were; might have looked like them though (skinny jeans, similar hair). Last scenes of the film are at a beach party, where the band are playing, and I think the movies freezes at the end with the band breaking up their equipment, knocking over drums, etc.

It's not "Rock 'n' Roll High School". Any clues?

No, it's not.

As far as I remember, it was more of a "frat boys/college dormitary" type of movie. Early 80's I'd say, and made in the US. Possibly made on the back of Animal House and similar movies of the time.
