New Zealand will destroy Scotland, Mc Cullum, Taylor and Vettori will simply be to much for the minnows. I still think their is question marks over many of their players but tomorrow they will be fine. Oz should beat the West Indies but the West Indies do have some very big hitters so I think it will be close. The other match will be fun but India should win easily.

If they get started it will probably be a five over game. Then all bets are off.

    New Zealand will destroy Scotland,

The Kiwi's gave us some of the most memorable collapses over the past year so I certainly won't be lumping on them.

The test sides are clearly giving the associate teams zero respect and we saw where that got Ingerland yesterday.

I've about €12-13 in my pocket as I walk into town to cash my Netherlands docket, so will throw it on the Scots at 7-1 in Laddies.

Actually I'll probably make it a double with the Windies while I'm at it. I'd likely wade into them afterwards anyway.

While we all know that Gayle can be Jekyll or Hyde on his day there's no denying that the Windies players live for 20-20. If they can shut out Warne then they've every chance.

    Ladbrokes: 7/1, 6/4 double = 19/1 ta very much.

Word from the Oval says if no play by 12:30 then match abandonned. Typical.

    Still, that gives 2 hours.

Seven over game due to start at 12.20. The Jocks 6/1 with Boyles. Good value considering such a short game could go either way. If only I wasn't too lazy to go to bookies.

Heh, Scotland looking great value here. 32/1 after 14 balls.

I got €13.10 on at 19/1 anyway, so a nice return if it pays out. Rabbitohs let me down earlier on.

Bet365 are running live audio Kev.

67/1 .... Scotland about to flip to become favourites.

    RR 13+ !!!!!!!!

Great fifth over there. Wonder will they play soft balls when they're bowling forcing NZ into singles :p

Great innings by Scotland this is what 20/20 is all about even though the game is reduced to 7 overs per side.

New Zealand need 90 off seven overs. Not easy! Pretty impressive stuff from the Scots.

I have a couple of underdog combination bets. I need another good performance from the Dutch, Bangladesh to beat India and Ireland to beat Bangladesh and I will be winning 85 grand!

Edit: Forgot, I also need scotland to beat SA! But fingers crossed that will be a shortened game tomorrow too!

Erm New Zealand are in serious trouble they need 90 from 7 overs to win this. Mc Cullum and Taylor will need to do something special here.

Should be a very interesting 7 overs from NZ coming up.

    Dot balls please.

Actually worth more than wickets in a 7 over game.

Not great for the guy backing Scotland and seeing them hit 13+ RR in 7 overs...

    BTW...GAWNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

    Run out... ho ho ho.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,206 ✭✭✭✭Rjd2

That was the most idiotic run out ever. :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,125 ✭✭✭lee_arama

3rd wicket, but at a cost of 4 runs when that previous ball should have been caught, not volleyed over the boundary....

    This is some sweat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,160 ✭✭✭randomer

70MPH length balls would be hit for six in club cricket. You can't afford to bowl that stuff against the black caps.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,211 ✭✭✭Royale with Cheese

    Oz batting first.

What an odd opening over. 3 wides & 2 wickets. Australia 3/2. Ponting and Shane Watson gone for 0.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,169 ✭✭✭rednik

Fantastic first over by Taylor. Australia up against it now. Chris Gayle has it in his hands.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,691 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Unusual that Bangladesh were a seeded team ahead of the Windies

Aussies 3 down now, with Clarke out

    15-3

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,691 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

The Aussies look like they are screwed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,414 ✭✭✭✭Trojan

Aussies getting destroyed. Finally got a wicket, but it could be all over before the 15th or 16th over.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,691 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

    Windies win by 7 wickets

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,169 ✭✭✭rednik

A great innings by Chris Gayle. Looking at the pictures on Sky showing Gayle and Brett Lee watching one of the biggest hits sailing on to the roof at the Oval is absolutely priceless. If the Windies bowlers can keep it up and Gayle and co can bat well I think the Windies could win this tournament and after the last few weeks in England that would be a great achievement.

Ojhas fourth wicket was a shocker! The batsman was given out bowled, but the ball didn't hit the stumps. It went to the keeper and onto the stumps.

I had to rewind to see it. They didn't show a replay. Very odd.
