Just a quick one any does any one know the route for the cycling course?
The web site leads to a map in america i presume that would not be the correct route.
    Thanks

Just to let anybody who has entered the race know that the race start time has changed.

The swim will now start at 10:30am instead of 12 midday due to tidal conditions in the River Suir.

All competitors that have signed up should have gotten and email about it but no harm is letting people know here just in case.

Also the Carrick Website should be updated before the race with a full race briefing. All maps as well as descriptions of the course and race rules will be on there.

BUMP. So tomorrow morning. Is it open roads for this?

As far as I remember the roads through the town for the bike start/finish are closed, the roads are open for the rest of the route but all junctions are marshalled.

Weather forecast for tomorrow doesn't look great, I hope it is not a washout like last year.

good luck to everone who is doing this one.

When I did my first tri, I kept telling myself once I get out of the water I can finish this even if I have to push my bike around and walk across the finish line. I still hate swim starts and tend to stay towards the back. The swim in Carrick is easy and the current will carry you along.

enjoy your first of many triathlons.

Nice race, well organised and the weather held off :)

Liked the course, swim was fast... cycle wasn't very lumpy and good mix on the run.

    Results up already.

Glad you enjoyed the race. The earlier start time was a blessing as we avoided most of the bad weather.

We had a professional photographer take some photos this year. Just waiting to get them from him and I'll put them up.

Ha! :D I didn't hear much of him. I was too busy dealing with registration and marshaling. He's a brother of one of the club members I think. Always helps out.

We're in the process of getting a new website up and running. I have nowhere to put the photos until that site goes live. Hopefully it will be in the next few weeks.

    Sorry about the delay.
