Let's beat the punters to it. Results here and now.

I gave "Meh" both my first and 10th preferences for the locals.
"Cba" got my vote in the europeans...

[edit] First time in a long time that I haven't voted. I'm usually fairly responsible, but the whole thing has left me unmoved this time around.

No huge preference this time so my votes went through the numbers to keep out the Greens and then FF where possible.

Bit slow at the moment, surprisingly enough. And there was I thinking our economy was booming.... :pac:
Ah no in fairness I understand a lot of the anti-FF sentiment but the FF person I gave my second preference was someone I genuinely thought would be a good person to have on the council.

That's democracy for you. People may have differing views to you.

I find Toiréasa a breath of fresh air in Irish politics. She's well educated, well spoken and has policies with which I agree with. Good enough for me.

I think they will do well. They've looked strong in the polls.

They could have simplified the whole voting process by just giving us an 'Anyone but Fianna Fail' box to tick.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 469 ✭✭loveissucide

That'd be a great political party.

She is cute, but we're voting for EU elections - not for FHM top 10.

Why not tbh? In the past 10 years they've become a totally reformed political group and doing a great job in the power sharing of the North.

It's about time that people realised that there's more to Sinn Fein than An Phoblacht and rebel songs

I actually have a spare polling card.
I voted at around 10am. Do you think they would notice if I went in and pretended to be someone who died about 6 years ago?

Sinn Fein For Europe, Sinn Fein for county election and Sinn Fein for local council.

Not another second etc, preference went to FF or FG. The schites are two sides of the same coin!

Did anyone else fill out the numbers on each card?
I did. I always do. I've really no idea why though.
I just pick the three or four I want to see elected and then just throw numbers at everyone else.
I made sure Libertas got the lowest number for Europe though.

Yip that's what I did picked my top 3 and as long as FF were the last numbers I didn't really care about the others.
