My brother used to live in Ireland and his girlfriend still lives there.
She told him that the law in Ireland is wsaying that if you live toghether is the same as they were married.
Meaning she can have the house and all the belongings of him.
    Is that true?
    Can anyone help me here.
    She lives in Tipperary.

    That is not true.

If in doubt have your brother speak to an Irish solicitor.

This is totally incorrect. what she is talking about presumably is the concept of a common law marraige. this does not exist in ireland - only when a man and woman are married can any issue in relation to division of assets not jointly owned arise. does he own a house and now she is trying to claim that it is hers or whats the deal?
