Cheap flights/Holidays from Dusseldorf

Heard about this from a mate of mine a few years ago. Basically they worked in Holland and would travel to Dusseldorf and stay there checking for late deals on long haul flights and holidays, leaving in a day or two. There was a load of temporary travel agents upstairs in the airport with very late deals and great bargains…

That's fairly standard in the airports in Germany. I've never paid much attention to them but the prices never caught my eye any time I was passing them, they seem to be mostly package holidays. That's not to say that they may have some bargains if one was to investigate.
