    Hi all,

I want to become a professional photo restoration specialist.
I studied photography at college long time ago, so I have a background, and I have photoshop CS4. I have some restoration experience as a freelance before.

Anyone knows how i can become a professional one? like work experience or college course in Dublin?

?? Just start touting for business, I don't think there's a guild or exams or anything you have to pass to become a professional photo restoration guy . The "specialist" bit probably comes when you're making enough money at it to pay the bills :D

On the other hand, if you're talking actual restoration of old photographs or old prints/artwork then there's probably a brace of talents and skills neccessary. Dunno about that although maybe contacting the curator of one of the national museums would point you in the right direction.

are you talking about digital or film here? I just finished the multimedia HND in Ballyfermot and we covered this (digitally) but I think a two year full time course is not what you're after :)
