can delivery trucks park on double yellow lines while unloading? Saw one today and a trafic warden having a chat with him. Is there a discretion on part of warden?

Actually, its seems that you can load / unload for 30 minutes on DYLs.

Yup, 30 minutes for loading, providing you're not parked illegally any other way (close to junction on footpath etc) :)

A new one for me too.

Aparently you can park for 30mins on double yellows if you are delivering.

However if you are across from a white line, close to a junction or obstructing traffic while on these double yellows you can be fined for the 3 offences.
