Getting back with ex

    Guys
    Split up with ex g/f a few months...still really have strong feelings for her and was wondering from experience can there ever be a chance we could get back together in months/years to come or should I just forget her???

    Well it all depends on the circumstances.

    Why did you break up? How long were you together? Who broke up with who?

    No one can really say yay or nay based on the small bit of info above tbh.

    For the most part, an ex stays an ex. But sometimes people get back together. I think if the issue you broke up over will still be there when you get back together, its not gonna work a 2nd time.

    Just wondering...what are the success rates of exs getting back together? Especially after LONG breaks...short breaks may actually do good...

    People generally dont change..so old issues would eventually reappear..I guess???

    What makes you think that it would work out better this time around? Maybe you love her and she loves you but if it didn't work the first time why would it a second time?

    Flogging a dead horse?

    Only way it would work is if:

    a) you love each other very much
    b) you are both willing to get back together
    c) you recognise what went wrong the first time
    d) you are both willing to fix or try to change whatever went wrong
