Basically what it says on the tine, I'm about to order some nice Skat-O Russian camo off RussianCombatGear.com, and was just wondering would customs hold it.

    /Regards.

Don't think they would. I've had 2 packages in the last month and not had them delayed by customs. Both packages held gear like mags, scope, sling, silencer, ras rail covers..... You should be grand.

If it's not Irish Issue you should be fine.

customs have been known to stop silly things now and then, but you should be fine. its only every now and then they have some clueless inspector on down there.,

They sent my tac vest to "ballistic testing"

Was pretty amusing thinking bout it now, but furiously annoying at the time.

Would be more amusing if when you got it back it was full of bullet holes

Woulda been funny if it arrived with a few bullet holes in it.

Unfortunately "ballistic" vests will get stopped from time to time.

You can't reasonably expect some poor clerk to know the difference between Cordura and Kevlar. And Customs certainly won't release it on their own authority if there's any doubt. If it looks like a bulletproof vest, they'll send it up for the Guards to check. The Guards'll give it a once-over, do the paperwork and you'll get it back in due course.

This is the price we pay for realism. :)

even real ballistic resistant armour isnt illegal. regardless of what it is, it should get through, but we have to understand that some of these people mightnt have ever heard of airsoft and the stuff we use could be seen as a bit scary to some. :)

Technically you need permission from the DOD to use any camo, but its not really an enforceable law.
buying from the UK or any other European country you should be fine, from asia you might be looking at getting stopped for tax. other than that you should be fine. :)
