I am genuinely happy for the Jewish Sabbath to be recognised and having the rescheduled English exam, rescheduled yet again based on conscientious and "legal advice" grounds.

According to the State Examinations Commission "This approach is based on legal advice which indicates that, asking these students to sit an examination on their Sabbath, when their religion prohibits it and it is against their conscience, cannot be justified on constitutional grounds". Therefore I expect my legal right as a Roman Catholic to be taken as seriously in Irish law, for example protecting the life of Irish unborn children.

    What exactly is your point?

The life of the unborn is protected in Ireland.

More so, the right to life of any unborn life within the OP is protected.

So the Jewish people are being put into camps......why does this seems familiar?

Sounds like you're getting on a it of a high horse OP.

As a Catholic, it could easily be argued that your "religious rights" are a lot more protected in law than most other religions.

Personnally, I think it's great that the state will faciliate these Jewish students, although how effective the quarantine would be remains to be seen. (the word quarantine, was used on breakingnews.ie don't know if I like the name).
Is it unfair to allow them and extra day to study? I hardly think one extra day for a two year course is gonna have much added bonus.

Yep, I can guarantee you that the State Examinations Commission will not ask you to abort your unborn child.
