    Total Noob here so go easy...:P

    In your personal experience, do you think it's easier to start off your music production career/hobby making remixes or creating tracks from scratch? And why?

    remixes. by a mile.

    reason - the hard work is done and most n00bs find it difficult to not become too emotionally invested in their own original tracks, thus making it difficult to make decisions.

    yep remixes are easier.
    even making edits of songs is a great way to fihgure out the basics like cut,paste,copy and basic eqing
    also i remember being seriously frustrated trying to figure out how to make a proper drum groove,bass,lead so chopping up an existing track gives you quicker more satisfying results when your starting out
