Start a band with a distinctive sound - Cork

    I'm looking to start a band a little bit off mainstream for fun and moderate gigs/recording. I'm thinking guitar/synth crossover with creative use of effects. Interested in originals as well as alternate cover versions. I'm a rhythm guitarist, but dabble with other instruments and have a modest project studio. Based in North Cork/Cork.

    Might be interested. What kind of bands are you into, what style of music do you want to play? There's lots of ways to combine synth and guitar, anything from Depeche Mode to Ministry to Muse.

    Interested in retro, alt, punk-pop, synth-pop. As you say - lots of ways to do it, and I'm pretty open to whatever develops. I think the members will dictate the direction of the music - just threw the synth-guitar thing out as a starting point. Bassist and vocalist already interested as well as me (guitarist), and possible synth guy. What do you play? Feel free to use PMs.

    Still deffo looking for a drummer, but interested in hearing from allcomers.
