Fitting a car stereo

    I just got a cd player for my car,was wondering where i could get it hooked up without being ripped off?

    Its usually easy enough to do it yourself, You will most likely need cables for the back of it and a new fascia face to cover the gaps, Always go to the local consort motor shop for these. What model is it do you mind me asking? Probably better off asking in motors if you could DIY.

    Have the cables and the face-thing(its not new)
    I just rang consort and they said they dont do em.
    anyway,the model is sony cdx-s2050..can you help?

    I meant car model :)

    Im only handy with Fords BTW

    Wouldnt have a clue bout them, If your on the northside and near Phibsboro there is a lad on the Phibsboro road that does car audio stuff, not to pricey either from what I heard and does a good job. Recommended to me before but I didnt need him in the end and a fella that I work with got a few things done by him.

    It's basically two connectors,an ariel and a cage.Give it a lash,you'll surprise your self.

    Did it!
    Got a connector from halfords,pulled the old radio out and stuck the new one in..about ten minutes all told.

    The connector was 25 quid although they were open till 9pm yesterday which was good.

    Would have gotten the exact same for about €10 in your local consort.
