    Hey.
Im just after getting back home after clearing all of my stuff out of halls.
Forgot to take my flatmates CD and memory card out of my PS2 so he probably thinks I've done a runner with them now. :p
Im at home so I cant use that people finder application on the trinity website (local access only).
I was wondering If I PM'd somebody the name of my flatmate would they be able to get his e-mail address for me?

pretty sure you can get access to the local only pages by changing the proxy
on your browser. not sure what the proxy is anymore as im finished at trinity now. I think it was proxy.tcd.ie or proxy1.tcd.ie something like that try port 8888 too. but ive accessed trinity local pages loads of times outside campus before.

Nobody should hand out anyone else's email address. IF you PM me the guys name and the email you'd like sent and your email I'll email him.

You must understand that I can just about turn a computer on, let alone change my proxy. :o

I dont want anyone to post his email on this thread either. Was hoping to do it by PM. Thanks for the offer boston but I'd rather send the email myself (no offence intended).

I know that, I read his post. No one should give out another persons contact details without their permission. We've no idea who mardybumbum is. we don't even know if he goes to trinity.

So you wouldn't trust a randomer with your email address but we should just give you someone else's. I fail to see the problem with me sending him an email containing your email address to the person in question saying you'd like to get in contact. Then its his choice if he wants you to have his details.

Hmm, we seem to have gotten off on the wrong foot.
I never said I wouldn't trust a randomer with my e-mail address??
As I said before, I appreciate your offer but I would rather send it myself.

well whatever it is for you if its 7 letters of your surname and
the first of your first try it. otherwise try i mean with about 3 attempts i could definitely get it knowing the persons name. so go for it and stop wasting time with a needless thread.

guess trinity isnt what it used to be :p

just go to www.tcd.ie/local put in your username and password then go to student record, put in your username and password and you'll have access to people finder... at least thats the way it was in my day...

Boston has a point, in fairness. And his offer seems a fair one.

I'm just surprised that you lived with someone for the whole year and never bothered to swap phone numbers or something.

My email also has a digit in it. :pac:
Guess things were simpler back in the day.

Meh, sound lad, but I never bothered asking for his phone number.
Anyhow, thanks for the help but I have managed to get my hands on it.
