    Hey all,

    So to the point,
Me - Male 23, Girlfriend, confident, outgoing and sporty, good job for large company.

I have an interesting issue. I think its a nervous problem, but I would like some feedback on it.

So today I had to give a presentation (something I do daily in my Job so it was no different) and after I had got half way into it, I blanked. So I panicked and its like a get overwhlemed or something. I have to struggle to fight back the tears. My Voice started to go, everything.

The thing is I didn't feel upset nor did I the other times its happened (argument with Ex GF)

Its like I completely lose control of my emotions. Its horrible and I'm not looking forward to work after today.

Anyone else faced with the same issue and how do you cope with it, as I fear it will happen again?

Hi OP,it sounds quite like you had a panic attack. They can be brought on by a number of things - stress, depression etc.

How long have they been occuring?

I don't think its a panic attack myself OP.....

Maybe your are a nervous person and it caused you to react as you did?

Last november, but I was upset as it was a fight with my Ex.

its really hard for me to describe, I just get choked up, eyes water and I feel like crying :(

Its not a good thing in my profession to be happening :/

This happens to me all the time. Deep breathing helps matters. Recognise when its about to happen and breathe deep then.

I mostly get it when i'm scared. But it can happen at other times to. I know the exact feeling you describe.

Also - just to point out. It feels more severe than it looks so don't worry.

I've only lost control of my voice once during a presentation. Out of nowhere my voice started going high pitched and there was nothing i could do to control it! Don't know how it happened as it hasn't happened again.

But i know where your coming from being overwhelmed. When i get like this my brain kinda shuts down and im left blank. Start to sweat and go all hot soon after.

These are exactly how I feel. Its hard to feel confident after it though :(

I think I made it worse by panic'ing....

I will try looking up breathing techniques and see does that help. I think that will help
