Hotel Miami. It's a 10 minute walk from the Terminii Station, walking distance to all the major sights with the exception of the Vatican. It has a bus stop just outside and a subway at the end of the street.

Reasonably priced and breakfast is included. Make sure to ask for a room at the back as the front overlooks a main street and noise can be a problem if you are a light sleeper.

    Hotel Santa Prassede
Basic but cheap when we booked it, very close to Terminii station and the Colossium. Lovely little cafe around the corner from it was great for late breakie, we missed breakfast in the hotel twice (oooops!!) and a great downstairs nightclub on the other side of the square.

Also have to say, my gf bag got stolen the night before we left and they were great, we were up all night trying to sort out being allowed through customs, got 30mins kip and they organised and paid for a taxi all the way to airport.
