It aint only football on Sunday. Dublin hurlers kick off their campaign against Antrim.

I would ask all Dublin supporters reading this thread to make a poster for their clubhouse or dressing rooms and urge people to go in early and support the team.

    They deserve it

    They sure do.
But we know the majority will still be scooping up outside while the hurlers play.
Personally, I'll pay over the odds for disappointing Guinness inside the ground so that I can support the hurlers, but I'll be surprised if the ground is more than half full at half time. I'll be happy to be proved wrong, though!

Unfortunately you won’t reach any of the supporters that need that reminder on here.
I’ll be heading in to make the first game, half times and a few before the big ball game, do me fine.

Will "the Hill" be a force for the hurling? Actually has it ever been before? Not being sarcastic, just wondering. It'd be great if it were to be.

I think it will.I'd say the hurlers will use the Hill to gain more momentum and play better, high intensity hurling.

Don't think it was ever really a huge factor for them post 1970s.

Well you can not complian that the Leinster council are err, ehmm, giving the Dubs hurlers a bit of a helping hand by having it before the football match !!! Anyway, hopefully it will be the start of a good campaign by Dublin, no disrespect to Antrim. Cannot see anyone touch the Cats though - and that includes next year.

I'll be in early too. It would be great to see a full Hill 16 for the Hurling game. There should be a good crowd on it for the Hurling, but it won't be full for it. They'll get more support than they usually do in Croke Park as some Dublin football fans will make the effort to get in early. It will be a great boost for them. It will be a very interesting day. As usual, we are throwing open the invitation to join us in Madigans on O'Connell Street after the match. PM Blackbelt or myself for contact details.

Definitley gonna make it to both.

I've a good feeling about Dublin hurling this year. They've had some great results in the league. Hoping they make it to the leinster final....

They've the beating of wexford this year, can see them getting a few big team scalps this year...:)
