    I respect Saab heads, I really do. It's just... I dunno. Something about the car says 'A Vectra with full leather and auto? Suits someone else, sir.'

    I have nothing against leather or autos. Some of my best friends are automatics. In a Vectra though? Nah. It's like the new saloon Volvo. IT'S A FECKIN' FOCUS! Why would people pay a premium for a Focus?

    Yet Audi owners are quite comfortable paying a premium for what are just VWs or Skodas underneath. An A3 is still a Golf or Octavia.

    Ex-Saab maniac here. Was mad into them despite the fact my 9-3 wasn't the most reliable, but might be down to a not so great service history in it's past.. T'was still an outstanding car.

    I was mad after buying a Saab 9-3 Viggen until I relized that they were still fetching crazy high prices, but I'm hoping to buy either a Viggen or 900 turbo again in the near future when finances allow!

    Just a little point. The current 9-3 platform has been highly modified from the Vectra platform and only shares roughly 40% of its Archtechure. Given that no interior parts or exterior panels change over ( probably why the whole Saab/Opel/GM thing is going bust :p) on to the Vectra that makes it a very different car. Now in fairness when you take the Saab vs Audi thing and where their platforms come from its probably fair to say that VW underpinnings sounds far posher than Opel. But heres the thing , that platform is actually a really good starting point never mind the fact that its half a size bigger than the VW platform of the same category ( i.e Golf/A4 etc. ). In fairness it does handle very well.
