I find using kids sunscreen great (I burn under a desklamp!)..and use an Ambre Solaire one 50. Was out ALL day Saturday and didn't burn once. The boyfriend missed a spot on his upper arm, and that burnt red raw...shows it is a pretty good cream...It is not transparent however, but rubs in real well without that sticky residue...

I use factor 50 suncream on my scars and have always used Ambre Solaire without burning once. I used Nivea Sun Light Feeling Sun Lotion in factor 50 the other day and the only bit of me that burned was where my strap fell down. Both Ambre Solaire and Nivea rub in very well.

Yep I currently use Ambre Solaire 50+ but I have uv alergies so it has to be applied every hour or so or I'll turn into a pumpkin.

the main problem I have is it getting on and ruining clothes and i have to slap it on pretty thick so was hoping for the same result as the ambre but in a transparent solution so i don't look like casper the ghost :D

I use factor 60 Boots Soltan, it's usually very hard to come by as they don't stock a lot of it. It's brillaint though and dries in, in seconds.

I saw a Nivea transparent spray, factor 50 in Boots. I was going to get it for my face and scalp (always seem to get burned on my parting :() as it is non greasy.

I haven't tried it yet but I've never had any problems with Nivea sun lotion. The bottle seemed a bit small, so maybe it wouldn't last long if it was being used all over.

Not really tbh, I'd put it on about 30mins before I go out so it's dried in.;)

I saw an Ambre Solaire 50+ transparent one in Boots today in Galway, up near the counter

Yeah definitely another vote for Ambre Solaire. Did any one have a problem with Boots Soltan that it took the dye of things like bangles of if you were holding a water bottle the colour would come off in your hands?

got a few bottles in boots in blanch.

    seems to be pretty good.

i'll continue the search for the transparent stuff :D

I got the factor 50 suntan lotion and the factor 50 facial suntan lotion from marks and spencers during the good weather last week and found them both great. Quite transparent and not sticky at all, I found them both very good.
