    Keep calm.
Wake up really early and get some study in an hour before the exam focusing only on the really important parts.
Bring ALOT of pens, pencils and for maths make sure your calculator works 100% and it will not die out on you or else you will be stuck using your log tables instead(A guaranteed F in maths actually)

Check the night before that you have all the equipment you'll need for the next day, don't bother studying late into the night, because you won't achieve anything, instead, go to sleep early and wake up early to study.
In the exam make sure you know how much time to spend on each section of the exam, think of what you're about to write before you write it, when you're finished, check your exam over and over and over, don't waste any time left over.

For English bring a lot of pens, because they have a horrible habit of wasting when you need them.

For Maths attempt everything make sure you've added in the units (cm, kg, etc) Read the questions again and make sure you've answered the question asked.

For the Geography long questions, do the map question, it gives the easiest marks in the long questions.

This alone would cut out a large number of people who do badly.
That and the obvious 'answer as many questions as you are supposed to'.

    Oh yeah for Business
Do the bookkeeping questions, dont leave them out they are way easier to get marks in!

ok, well these are some tips for maths..:p

(1.) Start every question on a double page, this helps you to see your work and not be flicking over and back

(2.) Start with the question that you like the best. This will give you confidence with the rest of the paper.

(3.) If you get confused by a question, DON'T PANIC! Ask the examiner if you can go to the bathroom and just chill out and go back into the room with a clear head! It's very easy to do a question with a clear head.

(4.) Stick to timing.. 25 mins per question. If you are stuck on a question, move on and dont stay with it hoping that the answer will come to you straight away because likely it wont.

(5.) always attempt every question. write anything down!! it could get you 2 or 3 marks that could make a huge difference to your grade!

(6.) And most important, wear something comfortable! Who really cares what the new fashion is? Go in baggy shorts and a jersey if thats what you prefer. It will be much easier to sit an exam if you're wearing something you comfortable in than something that is sticking to you.

Thats all i can think of.. so good luck in the exams:D

In maths write on every seond page and have your rough work on the left hand page (CLEARLY MARKED)
Underline your final answer clearly and on the exam paper underline the form your asked to have it in

Stay in the exam hall until the very end. It doesn't matter if you have an hour and a half to go and you're completely finished. You have on average 2 hours to show off THREE YEARS of work. I had maths paper one done in a hour last year, but I went back over every single question, re-did more difficult ones and used that extra hour and a half to get the A. Stay there and do an extra question if you have enough time.

Make sure you have enough pens, ruler, pencils, colouring pencils, highlighters etc. For maths do not forget your calculator! I had a spare one with me, as well as two batteries and a screwdriver:D

Bring a bottle of water and some strepsils or something if you need them.

Get a good night's sleep the night before. Cramming can work, I know, but for subjects like maths and English a good night's sleep is vital.

Organise all your stuff the night before. Have your bag ready so there's no stress in the morning.

Try and eat breakfast. Last year in our school, a girl fainted during the exam.

Leave home early. You do not need to be late for the exam.

Leave plenty of space in the answer books. You've paid to do the exams so use as much paper as you want! Then you can go back at the end and add anything in that you might have forgotten.

    Bring a watch!

Check your desk is steady before the exams start. If not, rob someone else's or fold up some paper (or a beer mat, whichever is handiest).

Try not to participate in the post mortem after every exam. Unless you know you did really well, in which case enjoy it!

If you make a stack of all your books in your room or wherever you study, get rid of the books as you do the exams. Like after English, just feck all your English books into another room. Seeing the pile of books decreasing is a very nice sight!

Enjoy it! It's not that bad. It will all be over really soon and the summer will be unbelievable!

yeah! I'm always finished like 45 minutes early so I have to just sit down and stare into space...........
you don't know how many times I have stared at the examination rules sellotaped onto the back of the door...

For the sketch map, try drawing a grid on both the map and on your page so you can align everything correctly. Put a direction arrow on the map. Draw an outline. Draw roads as two lines and colour it in NOT as a single line. Make sure you draw a legend.

For questions related to the map on tourism and such, create the answer under headings. Why would tourists come here? Recreation, Transport etc. Each of those is your statement. Develop each by giving an example (recreation = waymarked walks, boating facilities; transport = national primary road/ airport etc) Then give a grid reference for each example as evidence. Full marks!

My next test isnt until 2.00 (Geography).
my Question is:is it better to study in the morning because what i am planning on doing is getting up out of bed at about 9.30-10 ish and start my last bit of geography study than or is that the worst thing to do?

If you can get it done the night before it might be better, because something might take longer than expected and you mightn't get it done in the morning, depending on how much you have to do. It would be a good idea to go over the important stuff in the morning though so that it's fresh in your mind.

Pfft! Speak for yourself! I personally skip the books of first entry always, they are far too long and complicated. I only do the final accounts if it's an absolute must. We haven't really done the accounts properly in class.

poor you! if I didn't have final accounts I would skip paper two...

I did the accounting questions in paper 2...way preferred them to the theory based ones. But I always did an extra question anyway. Maybe even two. I can't remember too well. If you've looked over everything, and have the time, it's no harm doing an extra question...

Didn't bother with them either. They're the same as club accounts anyway.

Same here, can't do anything except final accounts (just about). Teacher basically let us have free roam in the class as she taught.

Ye all seem to be allowed out to the toilet, but we have to leave our bags outside the door:confused:Could you not just look at whatever you need then?

As for tips. Just do what you can first, then go over the paper and try other bits and keep doing this.

A supervisor (usually a 4th year getting paid to be the supervisor's bitch) goes with you. Obviously not INTO the toilet so I'm sure some people could look at notes then though. But are you not allowed to got to the toilet? Like, at all? Is that legal?
