Harris Hawk Terrorising Sunny South East

    Saw one of these creatures on a rooftop in downtown DG a couple of days ago - it was ripping something small to pieces - not something you see every day and hopefully it will move on to the feral pigeons soon! :D

    hmm you sure it was a harris hawk.. didnt know there was any here in the wild? Sure it wasnt a buzzard?

    as in you might want to inform some one if you seen one, as i thought they only had them here in captivity.

    They quite often escape! I'm sure the owner will be looking and will recover it in a day or so. In the mean time "terrorising" is putting it a bit strong, isn't it?

    It is the real thing - I met it and its 'owner' in the street a while back. I understand it does security work at an airport. I have no idea what it was doing on the rooftop but presumably it gets days off. :)
