    Hi, i was just wondering is there anything i need to fill in online before i go to the states. Im going for two weeks next week and id heard people saying you need to fill in a form on the internet first? Is this true, the link is here?

    this is a thing ya have to do if ur going to the US for a holiday.

    Dont fill it in if your going on the J1 visa though, like I did stupidly, and now i'm kinda screwed!!!!!!!!!!

    anyway, its the visa waiver program. here's the link....

    Thanks, Yeah im just going for two weeks as a holiday but i cant find a link. That one doesn't work!

    You'll need to fill in your ESTA (check the top of this forum for a sticky on it).

    You will also need to provide Advanced Passenger Information to your airline. Some let you do it online, some will collect it at check-in.

    You'll also fill in some paper forms at the airport for immigration and customs. Check in desk will provide them for you.

    I'm very confused about this ESTA. I have a J1 visa and i'm leaving on saturday. Am i right in saying that I don't need to fill out the ESTA form?

    The ESTA is only for people who are travelling under the Visa Waiver Program. It doesn't apply to J1 or other visa holders.
