    The news is a few days old, it was discussed extensively on Eastside so I didn't even think to post about it here.

    But it's a huge coup for pro boxing in this country, Frampton's a serious prospect and very much suited to the pro game.

    5 feet 4 inches? That's damn short and could prove a hurdle
    as a feather.

    He looks 5 feet 6 or 7 to me!

    I'm not sure whether it's correct or not but if he can make Super-Bantamweight he won't be too bad even if he is 5'4.

    According to boxrec:
    Rafael Marquez is 5'5
    Israel Vasquez is 5'4 1/2
    Kiko Martinez is 5'5
    Yuriokis Gamboa is 5'5 1/2
    Gerry Penalosa is 5'4
    Ponce De Leon is 5'5

    So 5'4 would make Carl seem small at the weight, but he's quite a built muscled fighter and although he may have a height disadvantage against other fighter he's a strong powerful guy and I think he'll be okay.

    The show is Sky Sports 1 tomorrow at 2130-2330. I would say there is a good chance will be shown to fill in time.
