HT and the Tyrone goal has made a real game of it.
1st half was rubbish up to that point (or goal!), should be a good 2nd half.
    Tyrone by 5pts.

For all us 'mexican' GAA fans that moan about puke football in Ulster, it's nice that it's been a remarkably clean, fair game so far.
    The reason?
    Pat McEneney,the ref.
The rules of the game are solid & having a good ref to enforce them makes GAA a great game.

Didn't think Tyrone played particularly well, but they got the win. Mark of a good team in my mind!!

Armagh lost their way in the 2 and 3rd quater of the game but I think they are slightly better than last year. Surley the message will go out the only way to play Tyrone is to get in at them from the start, they dont particularly handle that very well. But if they are given as much space as they were for long periods today then they could well do a back to back come september. Their skill level is so high and they have a huge work rate.
Oh, I dont think Davy Harte was passing to Stephen O'Neill for the first Tyrone goal. I think he mis hit his shot. Good game.

Tyrone got the start they needed albeit with a few kinks such as their shooting in the 1st half

Armagh shot themselves in the foot in my opinion.Colm O Rourke pointed it out exactly as Armagh were too slow in their buildup play in the first half.Had they moved the ball with accurate kick passes they would have been level at half time in my opinion but instead they resorted to hand passing and dilly dallying to find the extra man when Tyrone crowded them out.

Tyrone were starting to tire in the last quarter but Dooher's brilliant shot calmed them down and by the time Armagh needed a goal at the end, they fell trap to Tyrones tactics as they got caught up in the swarm defence. So in essence they left Armagh with the only option that suited Tyrone. This is what I have taken from the game and it is something managers may have to look at if they are to come up against Tyrone.

As pointed out already, stop Tyrone getting a good start and they'll struggle a bit more.I saw Kerry do this in the league and it worked although by the second half they were on the ropes and hung on.A bit of possession football will upset Tyrone but if they get past Derry, they will be then red hot favourites to lift the Anglo-Celt Cup.

Was at the match and Tyrone took their chances more directly than Armagh. Tyrones second goal was a foul on Andy Mallon by Stephen O'Neill -a blatant push. Armaghs ball into Ronan Clarke was shockingly bad all game - he got one ball and scored a goal. Armagh should have taken their subs on much sooner and ran at Tyrone. But Tyrone have quality forwards and they have a half-forward line which stays mostly where it should be. Armagh played with two forwards for most of the game. This year the only way forward is through the front door - the back door is too much of a lottery. the ref did well but it was an easy game to ref as both teams played competitively and within the rules.
