Its not "adult" but Tony Rome is seedy/sulty/racy enough in parts (Jill St Johns bikini for a start) that its really not Sunday afternoon fare. That said if you like a slightly hokey 60s detective yarn you could do worse.

    Tony Rome?

It's very much a 15 cert movie. Unusual time to schedule it, tbh.

Some gonk in Rté probably thought it was a slapstick Mafioso musical set in Italy, and not a hard boiled grubby detective thriller with lashings of innuendo, drugs, some none too subtle racist remarks, and a fairly high body count for Sunday midday.

    It's got Old Blue Eyes...

You'd have to wonder about their scheduling, it takes about 2minutes to back check to see if a movie is suitable or not.

No doubt they'll cut it to shreds so the plot makes no sense.

RTE don't do that as far as I'm aware. I don't belive they buy "airline" prints either these days.

They showed another '60s movie one morning a few years back. Cu De Sac - psychological torture, cross-dressing, that kind of stuff. Good old RTE - because it was a black and white movie then it must be suitable for kids.
