How do I access the Sky installation menu?

    Trying to see if my phone line connection is working-but I cannot find the menu to test on the Sky box-have tried a search but couldn't find anything (that worked).

    Can't seem to see the System Test option under Services-I'm pretty sure it was visible under the 'old' Sky + menus.

    To access Hidden installers menu..

    Press services
    press 4
    press 0,1 then select

    To test telephone line..

    press services
    press 4
    press 7

    This brings me to Adult Movies!

    It must be the new setup as I remember being able to access these options as you describe above previously.

    What kind of sky box do you have???

    If its a HD box with the new software then the installer menu is accessed by

    Pressing
    'Services 0 0 1 Select'

    Sorry-it's a Thompson HD box, September 2006.

    When I press 'Services 0 0 1 Select' I get the following options

    Setup
    Default TRP
    Telephone (which has the dialling prefix and the tone type)
    RF Out
    Tuning
    New Install
    Rebuild
    System Reset

    But I can't see the 'Telephone Test' option in any of these menus (I'm not sure I should be messing with the 'New Install' menu?)

    Havent a HD box in front of me at moment so not too sure where the test is but if you do the new installation it will do a callback and this will check the line for you. Wont do any damage to your subcription so dont worry.

    Alternatively if u unplug the box with the telephone attached it will display an error message telling you to plug into an active phoneline ...this will only be visible if its not detecting the phoneline however it wont tell if it is able to do a callback

    Tried this and got a message 'No Default Transponder Detected' and then everything went blue.....so I unplugged the box and it restored the picture, I guess I will leave well enough alone!

    Just checked and its now on the bottom of the "signal page" under "settings" on the new EPG
