My LNB Quad fell off my dish so I rang Sky and they want to charge me 100euro for an engineer to come out and fix it which I think is a bit steep, if I had cable UPC wouldn't charge me to fix anything that goes wrong with there equipment. Rip off SKY. If I could fix it myself I would but it's in an awkward place. No TV now until Wednesday. Anyone think the 100euro is steep?

How did the quad fall off the dish in the first place??

The Sky equipment is yours, no1 will ever come back to look for it even if you cancel your sub. If you are unhappy to pay sky to fix it then why not buy a quad yourself...they are readily cheap to buy...

Are you sure its broke and cant be put back up?? Often a tie wrap will hold it firmly into place..

Finally UPC have a charge for any milicous damage to equipment, used to be free but hasnt been for last year or so....

With UPC it is indeed THEIR equipment and if you cancel you have nothing. However if you break the UPC gear they will charge.

You own all the Sky gear from Day1. If you cancel you still get loads of decent TV and Radio. However there is a warrenty.

It's broken alright, the arm that holds the LNB in place snapped.

Well I suppose that's fair enough, I'm well out of warranty. Anyway not much I can do about it I need the dish fixed.
