    Hi
I hope someone can help me, i'd been working in construction in ireland full time for 8 years up untill December 2007 in Jan 2008 i moved to England to get more training but when i returned Jan 2009 i could not find work. I have been living with my brother since then pretty much sponging off him plus his landlord doesn't know i'm there. I've read in this board i'd need proof of address to sign on, my question is, what can i do to get socail welfare i'm so stuck cas i've no money to get a place of my own and can't find work. Is there anything my brohter can sign or fill out to let the socail welfare department know i'm living there. If anybody else has been in that situation i'd love to hear from them too. HELP :)

    Hi
when I first came to Ireland and needed to get a PPS number I had a letter from my father in law stating I was living with him (and one of his electricity bills).

Don't know whether this would work with the job seekers payments - but worth asking.

Also do you have a bank account - surely a bank statement would help.

if you have a bank account, get a bank statement sent to that address. That'll do.

You can get a utility bill in your brother's name and a letter from him stating that you do live there.
