    Hi,

We have just finished our new site collab.ie which is a site where you can put up a project you are working on i.e. a new business idea, web site, movie ... and find people to fill the gaps in your skills.

If you are sitting around you can use this service to see if there is anything you can get involved with. For instance, if you are web developer out of college and unemployed, maybe there is an accountant with a great idea but no web skills looking for collaborators.

For startup business we see this as something useful in the very early stage where you have an idea but no money and you need other skills. Pre investment stage really.

If you follow the collab on twitter it will tweet any new projects posted.

    Gareth

This is a great idea and I wish you loads of luck with it.

Where you say pre investment ... will there be guidelines on how they can get initial investment startup?

    To your success

On first impression the name doesn't sit right with me. Would alliance, co-op or cahoot/cahoots be better? Fair play it's a good idea and the site looks nice.

Thanks AnneMarie - when we say pre investment - I'm talking about the point where you have an idea but havent really anything in place so you could not get a loan. In this case you would probably need to offer someone a % to get the job done. Its only a suggestion - people can use it as they see fit.

I see what your saying Mick, and I like your suggestion, but I dont think its worth changing now. Its meant to be a shortened version of collaborate.

    Thanks for the feedback
