Puzzled!

Ok firstly, this may be in the wrong forum, I tried the Tech section and couldn't find the appropriate one. I am not sure if goes under social networking as it isn't really what it is in a way. But if I have posted in wrong one, I would be grateful if you could move it right forum. Thank you

Now, this is what I am puzzled over..

On my Hotmail account I have always had a friend of mine listed even though I have not heard from him in a while, and up to recently ( 2 days ago ) been on MSN.

Yesterday, when I logged into Hotmail, I could not find him listed anywhere in my list of contacts. It is like it vanished. He has always been on my list and I have never not known him to be not there.

Does this mean he has either deleted / closed his email account? or blocked and deleted me from his Hotmail?
Even though his name is still on my MSN it is from a few days ago.

Oh and in case you are going to ask me, its complicated, so I can't actually go and ask him how come he is not on my Hotmail contact list or network.

Just hope someone out there knows what I am talking about in relation to the someone vanishing off a contact list in Hotmail.

I do not want any jokey replies

Does anyone know if a person completely disappears off of your Hotmail, if they have deleted/closed their Hotmail account?! Or deleted or blocked the person so you cannot see them on your Hotmail contact list?

Does this person know your hotmail password? If not, is their any chance they could?

There is a small possibility but I doubt it. Its just that I find it rather unusual that they are no longer in my contact list in my Hotmail account, they have been there for nearly 5 years and they have had the same email addy even before they knew me.

Would it mean that they have either closed their account or blocked and deleted me?

Not too sure about if they closed your account, I don't think that would remove it but judging by what you say in your original post (that it's complicated), first thing that came to my mind was that the possible logged into your account and removed their email address.

Surely you have emailed them before, have you no messages from them in your inbox / sentbox?

No, it is not my account that I am talking about. I was wondering if perhaps they closed their own hotmail account as I cannot find the person in my own contact list.

You know when you sign into hotmail e-mail and the first page that comes up has a list of contacts, well it is there he was always on it but he seems to have disappeared from my list altogether, he name was there a few days ago, and there are peeps whom I have not seen in ages and they are still in my contact list. So how come he is not on my list?

If I log into MSN messenger his name is there but he hasn't signed into MSN in a few days, and the thing is he is always is online at work but hasn't been so in a week or more.

I just need to know in your opinion, if he has either closed his Hotmail/MSN account or if he has blocked and deleted me?
