20, I think, the first time I "drove a car on the road", but that was four years ago and I'm still not "driving". I suck.

I've driven a car in a field many times when I was about 13/14 but I only took a car out on the road once when I was 17. Wouldnt mind getting some proper lessons soon!

16, I think. But that was a tractor, so I'm not sure if that counts. Car when I was 17. Just at the start of the summer. Good times. :D

I started driving lessons in 2000 but stopped after a few because as a young fella insurance was too much. Noone in my family would let me learn with them unless I had insurance so it went on the back burner for a while.

My older sister started seeing this guy and he couldn't drive. She gave him lifts everywhere, picked up from work, brought him to where he lived and picked him up everytime he called. I thought it was pathetic so that inspired me to get back learning to drive again in the fear that I may end up seeing someone who could drive and leaving me to look the fool who needed picking up all the time.

Yeah, I'd hate to be dependent on a girlfriend like that! What makes me want to drive though is seeing all people from my old secondary school spinning about the place; I get the impression that they take it for granted aswell! It's an annoying feeling to feel that others are driving about while you still have to get lifts when you go anywhere.

I'll be learning this summer (18). Don't see the point in spinning around in your teens tbh. Waste of time and money and a very good chance of crashing trying to impress your friends. (I've seen it happen).

First time on the main road was a tractor at 16, but learned to drive when I was much youger in the fields and small roads to land and from our house to the main road.

I'm 17 and I haven't learned how to drive yet.

I'll probably do that this Summer.

Had my first driving lesson on my 17th Birthday.

must have been some time ago,

AFAIK, you have to hold a learner permit for at least 6 months before you can take the driving test :confused:

Bout 15 started moving them around the street, so was driving in a public place, got learner permit the day of my 17th and full license 6 months to the day later. Have full license month and a half now and all is good!
