Android on your phone?

Is it currently possible to use android on your phone? I've downloaded the sdk and took a look at developing tools but i haven't seen any talk of this. Is it possible (even if difficult) to put android on your phone?

You can't just put it on any phone. Android handsets are available (Tmobile G1, HTC Magic) none of which are available to buy in Ireland yet unfortunately.
