Aer Lingus take drivers license as valid id for Ireland-UK flights.

Ring Passport Office, ask for Emergency Passport (tell them why). They may also be able to speed up the whole application for the full one, I dont know. You can also pick it up from the passport office to save time.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Aer Lingus and Ryanair both definitely take driver licence, although that usually means you have to check in at airport rather than online.

Otherwise, ring passport office and explain, they will definitely get you sorted.

Ryanair no longer accept drivers license for any new bookings.

Ryanair are going above and beyond what the law requires there, wonder why...

I've used my driving licence as ID on Aer Arann to go to the UK and back with no hassle.

Just get the emergency passport, can walk in and get it on the day. The fee is higher however I think it was around 80 euro when I got mine. The only places where you can get this is Cork and Dublin. Limerick is planned to have a passport office soon(about time).

btw its a normal passport, it will be accepted

    Sorry to hear.

You may need to find out where your existing application is. However, as they no longer actually use the passport photo you give them (they use a copy), it might be a good idea to bring along the spare photos you have.

    Who are your TDs?

They are sometimes able to lean on the civil servants in cases like this.

If you are talking about wanting to use Air France, does that mean you need to go to France? Because you would definitely need a passport for that.

Air France own CityJet. CityJet fly to London City airport.
