Go to Bunratty Castle, very short trip outside Limerick.

Hunt Museum if you're into that side of things.

Cliffs of Moher aren't that far either and well worth a visit, just go late in the evening to avoid the parking charge!

I was in Castletroy park hotel the other day and the Carlton have gone for the olde world look about it. Everything is patterned and a guy plays the piano in the evenings.

There is a pool so you can entertain the kids there. There is mini golf a 5 minute drive from the hotel.

Personally I think they are trying to cater for the old people living in the retirement home next door because AFAIK the last owners were just surviving on the food the old people bought during the day.

The nearest motor museum is in Co Offaly on the Nenagh to Athlone road.

Depending on the age of your kids there is a playground relatively nearby in Annacotty/Monaleen around 5-10minute drive.

There is a cinema only 5 minutes drive from the hotel. Storm Cinema

Funderland may still be on depending on when you arrive. Funderland - Im going to say you can walk.(open to correction) 15 minutes maybe. Driving will break your heart because I have not seen them allocate parking.
