Anyone know what these guys are like? :P

I've only heard about them in the past few months, they've kept pretty quiet.... A few discussions on their forum concerns me regarding power limits too.

We made contact with them only recently. They'll be down to us at some stage in the summer to play with all the clubs. Seem like a mature bunch of lads to us. :)

OK, let's keep the thread on-topic.

In fairness none of us were chronoed at Predator the last time we went up either. I got the impression that sites up North aren't as dedicated with regards to chronoing as *some* of the ones down here, probably something to do with the law on muzzle velocity being different up there, the fact that none of us were chronoed, and that some people did appear to be firing a bit hot, didn't take away from the fact that they were a great bunch of lads who played with honour and integrity and that we all had a great day.

Would you judge airsofting at every site in the republic by the rubbish that gets posted on here regularly?

I'm going to reserve judgement until I've played the site and met the lads who run it. If it does turn out to be people upgrading guns with the purpose of hurting people then I won't even stick around for a game, but if it's people just making the most of different laws with regards to power then I don't see the harm.

Oops sorry KD, was writing while you posted.

Its 1 joule up there too. Mainland UK has a higher limit, but Northern Ireland is the same as ourselves.

Apparently Viper Squad were up on Sunday. Anyone from them available to comment?

A guy on ASI saying that chronoing is non-existent and a lot of people upgrade (E.g M140 spring) to try to be better than anyone else :(

No Beast, he said it seems to be non-existant, which could simply mean it doesn't happen much.
And I saw no mention of M140 springs ( unless it was edited out before I read it ).

Guys please keep your posts in check.

Do not accuse another site of bad practice without proof.

Example was taken from their forums in the technical bit somewhere.

That being said, site does look decent according to their vids. Looks like a good place to visit, as long as the rest of it is in check.

I wasn't accusing anyone of anything, just stating what someone else has reported. I know he said it seems to be but that guy looks like a regular of the site from their forums and if he's saying it seems to be non-existent then I'd interpret that to be none at all.

Yeah Vipers where there on Sunday, lets just say: no chrono and very hot aegs:mad::mad:

Well to be honest I think something should be done about the site instead of just locking the thread and ignoring it.

The sites alleged problems aside, I 'm hoping to get down to this site for a visit. Likely won't be until Sep / Oct though as my schedule is full and my wallet isn't.

(Forwarding apologies to the republicans in the room)

As this site is located in the north, does it not fall out of our governing...and pretty much our care?

I think theres enough to be dealt with down here without taking on the problems of airsoft up north too.

Not being a dick or incencitive, but its outrageous righteousness to think we should have a say in how airsoft is run up there.

I played airsoft in Puerto Rico where its an epic niche, there was no chronoing, no laws relating to it( i think its banned) and no fps limit, and it was just socially good craic.

Upgrading guns is openly discussed on their forums and it was brought up on ASI forums before. If you go there you KNOW your walking into high powered gun territory, but the terrain might be good and you might be have some good craic.

If it was a republican site I'd care, not to say I do not give a ****, just do not feel its our place to be throwing opinions around about it.

Then again this site seemingly does break the laws up there, knowingly, and rather publicly, and since we are responsible airsofters we shouldnt talk about it or go there etc.

Suprised its taken this long to have this thread modded or locked...considering its probably screaming out " MOD me before I implode" and anyone worth their salt would know bout this site from the ASI story.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,893 ✭✭✭Dread-Lock

Well what I was thinking is if the authorities get wind of it they might just assume its happening everywhere and cause a load of hassle for sites.

(And its been said hundreds of times that these forums are read by the authorities, so don't just assume they'll never find out).

    Thread locked at OP's request.

Should others wish to discuss this site in another thread they may do so as long as they stay with boards.ie rules and the airsoft charter
