This is really wrecking my head. I've been calling them lie ins all my life and now everyone seems to call 'em lie ons. It's actually pissing me off more than it should... I get wound up over small things! So what do you call them?

Lie ons are for fcuking gob****es.

    I say lie on.

    But Lie in makes sense.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Always thought that lie-in is more of an English saying; lie-on is more of an Irish one. Same for sleep-in and sleep-on.

I dont do either, its a waste of a day. It doesnt matter If I went to bed at 4am twisted, I'd still be up at 6.30am. I just cant lie on the bed (unless theres something keeping me there :pac:)

    I use both, for example...........

When I'm in bed and someone tries to wake me I say "fup off I'm having a lie on":)

But if I'm talking about it to others I say..."I had a lie on this morning":p

Lie in of course. Wouldn't it be lying on...

Am I being pedantic picking up on grammar? No guarantee my grammar is right either though.
