Hello can anyone reccommend a new or possibly a show that I missed that I should get into.
Here is a psuedo favourite list of the shows I've seen

    Arrested Development
    The Wire (seasons 1 & 2)
    House M.D
    The Sopranos
    Lost
    Heroes
    Weeds
    Curb Your Enthusiasm
    Dexter
    South Park
    30 Rock
    West Wing
    Prison Break
Mad Men (half of season 1)
    The Apprentice
    Veronica Mars

Shows I have ready to Watch
    Band of Brothers
    The Wire (seasons 3-5)

Shows I gave up on - but maybe should reconsider
    Pushing Daisies (after 8 episodes)
Six Feet Under (after 2/3 episodes, but think I might like)
    Its always Sunny in Philadelphia
Rescue Me - Mcnulty (wire) > dennis Leary

I wish there was a last.fm for Tv shows.

Have a look at this thread (Everything is either "off air, axed or finished"). Its a current thread which asks the same question you're asking....

I'd say I have fairly similar taste, going by that list.
I really like Nip/Tuck, which strangely doesn't seem to be mentioned in the other thread at all.

    Give 24 a shot.

entourage is very good and the sixth season starts in july so gives you some time to catch up before it starts up again. You might also like californication, the first series was great, havn't got round to watching the second series (thats on the backburner for summer)

+1 on 24 btw, absolutely love that show

Go for Six Feet Under. I got into it last summer. The first few episodes are a bit bland but it gets brilliant as they series continues and season two is unreal. I watched the five series in two months last year.

    American Wise

Flight of the Conchords... Monty python if it had been made by a sheep on crack.
Weeds: She's hot, she sells drugs, SCENE!
Bones... stupid but fun and well put together.
Generation Kill... not as good as the wire but interesting
United states of Tara... tries to hard to be quirky but hey, it worked for Juno

Showtime and HBO are the two networks that you should be sniffing around with your list there.

Oh and any Charlie Brooker connected work is always a thrill.

Currently airing on sci-fi (if you can be patient for once a week shows these days, damn internet) is Joss Whedon's Dollhouse.

Seems ok after 2 episodes, typical Whedonesque humor and focus on a long term pay-off rather than revealing all in the pilot and dragging the season on through repetition.

Of course, this means that you have to hope the pay-off is worth it.

The pay off is soooooooooooo not worth it. Very lame show with crap characters tbh and a dreadful main star.

OP 6 feet under is a great show and you really should finish off watching the wire :)

Breaking Bad ,best show since Dexter

OP, you'll love "Breaking Bad"... watch it. Best show on TV atm.

Your taste is almost identical to mine, all the shows you quit I quit also and couldn't get into (been meaning to get back into 6 feet under as well)

+1 for Flight of the Conchords

Also, if you didn't like Buffy or Angel you won't like Dollhouse. I didn't like all 3.

Was a big fan of lots of what you list there, Sopranos, West Wing and Dexter in particular. Just got into watching TV online and I couldn't recommend Damages (with Glenn Close) highly enough. There's only 2 seasons but they both had me gripped.

Definitel go back to Rescue Me and Six Feet Under - both great shows, but Rescue Me is especially brilliant..

Sons of Anarchy is watchable (currently showing on Bravo). Waiting for True Blood to make an appearance this side of the pond too.

I'd also recommend 30 Rock... Excellently written with some really stand out performances and characters. A friend in work recommended it a few weeks back and I sat down and watched up to the middle of season 3 in under 2 days (season 3 has wrapped now so you can watch all of them)

The humour is a little off kilter, and draws obscure (sometimes blatant) references and parodies from movies, US TV shows, pop culture, news and politics. Well worth a watch.

EDIT: lol, just seen now, you've already watched 30 rock :o my bad, for everyone else though, 30 rock is well worth watching over the summer lull if you haven't already.

Comedy Wise definetely recommend Entourage and 30 Rock - easy to watch with some seriously classic one liners!

Not sure if you like forensic wise but I love CSI [Vegas] and Criminal Minds. also Southland is a relevantly new show [think its up to ep 7 now] and i enjoy it.

Others off hand - Nip Tuck, True Blood, Leverage
