Clinic Days

Both the oncologists due to see my Mam won't be in on the clinic day, delaying the diagnosis and treatment by 1 week. For obvious reasons this is unacceptable, I'm not blaming anybody but on the other hand I'm not taking any chances either due to doctors missing the 1 day per week they have their clinic to go on a course. The appointments office helpfully told us this delay "wouldn't make that much difference". Thanks for that.

Just wondering if anybody has any advice or tips on dealing with situations like this. It's impossible to get in touch with any member of the oncology teams.

    Hi,

I see that this has gone unanswered for a few days now. I'll keep this short: Call into the hospital yourself and talk to the oncology group highlighting the importance of the issue.

Everybody is in the same boat I suppose, so it's hard to make a big deal out of your one case. There's nothing anyone can do about it.
