and produces a top notch game.
It was great to see such a good contest on Saturday and was another HCup classic. There have been some thrilling finals in the past few years - maybe not 45-37 end to end games but some seriously good hard games. Comparing to some soccer finals and even World cup finals that can be dour games with both teams afraid of failure. It reinforces to me that rugby is the best team game in the world.
    What would your favourites be?

Indeed. I thought that the respect for the kicker was absolutley sublime when compared to the disgrace of the super 14 this year, in both semi finals there was torrid booing loud enough to drown out anything else and i assume it will be the same in the final. Its turning into quite a perk of the Northern Heimisphere game.

Wouldn't say a NH thing, Keatley was roundly booed taking kicks in Vancouver on Saturday, and the French aren't exactly noted for respecting opposition kickers! Also had a few Ulster fans (admittedly the worse for wear) jeering kicks at the recent Connacht-Ulster game.

I thought last years game was poor to be honest and the Wasps/Tigers final was all one way traffic

Still the best tournie in the world though.

Really? I was there and of course biased but I thought it was the most intense game I was ever at. Not a classic per se but an amazing atmosphere and 2 teams slugging it out from their bootlaces. Agree on the Wasps win but it was so unexpected it was enjoyable and Reddan had a stormer.

hardly a disgrace, just a different culture.

try and tell a french fan he is a disgrace for trying to throw off an opposition kicker, he'll laugh in your face.

Won't somebody think of the children

Different countries, different rugby cultures. In France they clap and make noise for their own kicker, never mind the opposition, is that a disgrace too? Sanctamonious crap.

From a neutral point of view the Wasps Toulouse final a few years ago was a cracker. Fast paced intense rugby from start to finish with both teams brimming with internationals at their peak.
That Poitrenaud moment was classic :pac:

Great to see so many Munster supporters shouting on Leinster in Edinburgh.

Would love to think that if the shoe was on the other foot that it would be the same. I'm a Munster supporter and if it couldn't be Munster then I was really delighted to say Brian O'Driscoll and the boys doing it. They've been the bridesmaid for the past number of years and they deserved their chance. Glad they took it when they got it. Well done!!

Though the game was close on Saturday, I didn't think the quality was there. There were a lot of mistakes made from both sides with Leicester particularly guilty in the 2nd Half. Finals are rarely great matches though so its understandable. From a neutral perspective I just wouldn't put it up there as one of the greats.

Didn't get to see the match last weekend as it would involve going out and finding an irish bar open and showing the match at 4am! (I live in australia btw) My dad was kind enough to send me a few leinster t-shirts though so i was there in spirit ha ha.

From what I hear it was a great match. Real nail-biter. I was relieved the boys in blue finally won it instead of them bleedin culchies again :D. Joking! I cheered on the munster boys both times they won it before. It's just good to see an irish team in the final full stop let alone winning the tournament.
