Is there a definative choice for insulating an open panel timber frame with a 140mm stud.
All I can research are conflicting reports,

only onsiderations are to cost and ease of fitting,
at the moment its looking like 150 rock woll, vapour check, insulated slab. I'd like to eliminate the slab purely as I don't like them, (fitting of and fixing items to them)

Anyone want to fill in the blank?

.... 150mm rockwool (or blown cellulouse)
    air tightness membrane (intello plus)
create a 50mm service cavity with cross battens
    fill with 50mm rockwool batts
plasterboard finish (or fermacell if you can afford it)

place the services tight to the insulation or in conduits?

    Hi,

just wondering, if anyone can give me info, have been given info on a closed panel system and the company plans to use 225mm metec insulation. i have heard that this is not suilable for walls and that is slumps over time. any info much appreciated.
    Thanks
