    Heard something about it alright.

    30 mill US$? Doesn't it work a different way with US lotteries? isn't it released in set amounts over a few years as opposed to the lump sum got in Ireland?

    It is generally paid out in installments over 20 years and taxed.

    You can get a one time payout which is generally less than half of the total amount won.
