BTEC is a UK qualification. For more info look here; http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/EducationAndLearning/QualificationsExplained/DG_10039020

FETAC is Irish and is based on the old NCVA system. FETAC website is www.fetac.ie

To get information on how the levels relate to each other the National Qualifcations Authority of Ireland should be able to help you. www.nqai.ie
They look at qualifications from other countries and relate it to the Irish system. You can give them a ring with a general query if you are considering doing a BTEC course in Ireland and want to see what it equates to in FETAC / HETAC.
