You're right too now that I think of it, us Irish do go through an awful lot of bitching in an average week.

    Guy 1 : Nice weather we're having, isn't it?
Guy 2 : Yeah it's lovely, if it'll stick, about time we got a bit of sun.
    Guy 1 : ah yeah yeah <random ****e / rabble rabble rabble>
    and so on....

    Buck the trend, be positive!

Its what makes us what we are and i hope it never changes,we have produced some of the greatest artists, poets and musicians the world has ever witnessed,
without having a dark and miserable disposition we would be a very bland boring people.

Maybe with many of 'us' being over the water that's what tipped the scales? I demand a recount :pac:

The only other place I can find any mention of this survey is in The Sun. I'd like to see if there's a correlation between sunshine hours and non-whingers.

Wouldn't take this too seriously, don't know how they carried out the research but I find a lot of Irish/British complain about things to start conversations. In Germany they just don't start them.

We complain about things for satirical value, when we moan we don't moan as hard as other nations. (heh heh heh)

Notice the Spanish moan the least and they also have the longest life expectancy in the world

so can we deduct from that, "that less moaning leads to a longer life"

I know I would certainly prefer life in Spain, people are so relaxed, they take everything in their stride and don't complain(probably because nobody will listen if they complain)

A new poll has found that Irish people spend almost 9.5 hours moaning each week.

The figure adds up to more than 20 days a year.

Bad weather tops the list of daily groans, followed by tiredness, traffic and work.

The poll found that only British people moan more than the Irish.

"Moaning" is great craic. There's nothing I enjoy more than ignorantly bitching about something completely irrelevant to my life. Similarily, I love "moaning" about people who moan.

I can safely say I keep the average up - especially while driving !!! (b1tch, moan, rant....)

its just frustrating when other people are so stupid and insist on making life difficult.

Are they suggesting that Irish people moan more than French people?

I call bull****, if that is the case...the French are the biggest moaners I know.....

    (i'm half French...I should know)

There should be a "poll" done to see how "many times can an irish newspaper make up a Poll to create a headline".

Bet you they asked one person "So Moany O'reilly from North dublin, how many hours a week do you give out about stuff?"

Moany: "ah well bud ya know i give out a fair bit"

    Generic Polltaker: "stop the presses"

    LAZZZZYYYY JOURNALISM...............@ :) :pac:

With the exception of the weather, all the others are pretty much slef-inflicted.

Anyway, you take Joe Duffy off the air and ban the Sunday World/Star/Hearld and you're down from 9.5 hours to about 20 mins.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.
