I was just wondering if anyone had any experiences of this resort or what Greece holidays are like in general.

    Many thanks.

    Hi

I was there two years ago and absolutely loved it. If your going as a couple its ideal but if its a young and lively thing your looking for then it wouldn't be the best spot.

There is a fab beach thats a wildlife sanctuary so its off limits at night because turtles come into lay their eggs.. also because of the turtles there is no watersports at all...

The town of Aragassi has all the water sports you can get a bus there and do everything from Banana boats to snorkling.

The accomodation in all the greek islands is very basic.. most bathrooms have no shower cubicles its just a shower head and a hole in the middle of the bathroom and some times the shower head won't even have a hook on the wall so you've to hold it... that being said the apartments i've stayed in are very very clean and the fact they are so basic wouldn't put me off staying there again.

The food is fantastic and drink is cheap enough... I've been to a few of the greek islands and here was my favourite...

You can also do a pile of day trips the shipwreck is a brilliant one to do. you can also go to other islands one day trips...

I hope you book it cos it is deadly, oh and if you are going for a young and lively sort of thing rather then chilled coupley type holiday go to Laganas... its down the road from Kalamaki

I would highly recommend it as a couples holiday. Not so much as a singles one though :)

I also stayed in Kalamaki and really liked it. Stayed in the Caretta Beach resort i think. A stones throw from lots of restaurants but about a 15 minute walk to the beach. Lovely island. As said before do a cruise arounf the island to the blue caves and the shipwreck!

    Thanks guys for your insights.

I actually changed the booking and heading to Lanzarote instead. Sorry!!

But definitely will look at Zante again but I think Agressi would suit us best instead of Kalamaki.

Went for Lanzarote because we're looking for a quite relaxing Holiday with bars and restruarants to choose from.

Now need to do research on where to get breakfast in Lanzarote haha

    Thanks again guys.
