I have been given an imac 20" 2.0ghz, 512 ram to sell for parts. The hard drive is dead and apple are asking for 350 euro to repair it so they r just going to buy a new model.

Just wondering what it would be worth? Every other part is fine as far as I can tell.

Im not doing this to advertise, I just have no interest in macs and dont know much about their parts pricing.

    Thanks

You could just get a new hard drive yourself and install it. The hard drives are all standard.

I got as far as removing the LCD and gave up. My research showed that its one of the early models and to get at the screws holding the hard drive I would need to remove loads of other parts. As its the first mac iv worked on I dont trust myself not to break something.

Its also missing the os cd.
